Honestly.  That’s the truth, for the last 10 years my mother has asked for something to do with birds for her birthday and it was starting to become a bit of challenge to come up with something new.  I’m pretty sure that whoever the guys were during the depression that started to feed the wild games birds in the midwest – (spawning a pretty neat habit while they were at it)  one of them had to be from the family gene pool.  Today bird houses and feeders are a huge business and my mother has played a role in supporting it, so when I saw this Classic Double Decker Birdhouse Feeder I knew that this year, it would be “the one”.

One of the funniest parts of any birthday for my mom that involves a new bird “thingy” is watching her try to find a place in the yard for it.  Most of the prime bird real estate is long gone and finding a place that the cats can’t hide close to and the squirrels can’t raid is getting a little harder every year, but she keeps at it and so far has a perfect track record for finding just the right spot.

I’m glad I found these birdhouse feeders, they’re all so different I don’t think I’m going to have to worry about what to get for a few years.
