Did you know that resistance training helps build muscle mass? Bet by the look of these rubber bands you would think otherwise. But it’s true. In fact more muscle mass will actually help burn unwanted fat. Bands are inexpensive and come in various resistances. Remember those chest presses you once did? Well why not try the resistance band instead of heavy weights.

Take the band and secure it to something behind you (door). Stand away slightly holding the handles with each hand with the tubing of the band up against the sides of your body. Now extend the arms forward full extension and repeat to your desired reps. With a rear delta row exercise again wrap the band and secure to a stable object. This time while standing face it holding the handles again with both hands. Pull the elbows as far as your torso. Make sure you keep your arms level with the floor. Repeat.

Try a seated lat pulldown. This time secure the band to a stable object overhead. With the handles in both hands pull down on the bands and bring them into your chest. There are many more simple resistance band exercises you can do right in your own home. Work the buttocks, arms, shoulders, chest and back.
